Public Safety

The safety of the neighborhoods and main streets of our communities is always essential, and Bruce is working to provide our public safety officials with the tools they need by:

• Working on the House/Senate Conference Committee that drafted the final version of the .08 per se drunk driving legislation which is now law
• Leading successful legislative efforts to enable volunteer public safety personnel to obtain health insurance through municipal plans
• Supporting continued expansion and improvement of the Massachusetts Fire Academy
• Assisting in the development and passage of legislation enabling local police departments to better assist each other in times of need
