Health Care

Effective health care needs to be both affordable and accessible in our communities, and this presents significant challenges. Bruce is providing leadership to address many of those challenges:

  • Streamlining the billing and payment system to eliminate costly and excessive bureaucracy
  • Reforming the uncompensated care pool
  • Increasing resources for community hospitals
  • Containing and reducing the costs of prescription drugs through bulk purchase and other reforms
  • Creating greater accountability and stability by establishing a health care facility oversight board
  • Assisting seniors with the cost of prescription drugs through the Prescription Advantage Program
