Open spaces, parks, clean air and clean water are essential resources for our quality of life, our economic prosperity and our future. Bruce is making those resources a priority by:

• Crafting successful legislation with his colleagues to prevent oil spills in our coastal
waters
• Securing funding at the state and local levels to purchase, preserve and maintain open space
• Developing and co-sponsoring legislation to promote water conservation
• Advocating for sound alternative energy sources and vehicles
• Supporting "Smart Growth" principles to contain sprawl and encourage planned and managed growth
• Co-sponsoring legislation to keep mercury out of our environment
