A prosperous future depends upon a strong economy that supports local jobs and rewards employers who create them. Bruce is focused on strengthening our economy:

• He was one of six members of a House and Senate Conference Committee which authored successful legislation to stimulate the economy through a number of initiatives. Now, he is working on several proposals for the next effort
• He facilitated a successful effort to enable local businesses to obtain needed state certification to export products in a cost-effective way
• He has authored, sponsored and co-sponsored several pieces of legislation and amendments to assist small businesses with the cost of health insurance
• He continues to secure millions of dollars in grants to support local job creation
