TARR, PATRICK MEET TO DISCUSS
STATE'S FUTURE
2/8/07
BOSTON-
Senate Assistant Minority Leader and Republican Policy
Conference Chair Bruce Tarr (R-Gloucester) recently had the
opportunity to discuss the Commonwealth’s future and the
upcoming legislative session with Governor Deval Patrick at a
meeting in the minority leader’s office. The two exchanged
ideas relative to alternative energy, economic growth, housing,
liquefied natural gas and the fishing industry.
“I look forward
to an ongoing dialogue with the Governor on issues of mutual
concern,” said Tarr. He added that “He has been very engaging
and receptive to good ideas, and we all need to work together to
take advantage of common ground and move forward where
possible.”
Tarr is among
the principal architects of the newly formed Republican Policy
Conference and its legislative agenda, which has been provided
to Patrick several weeks ago. Tarr said he hopes that the
agenda will form the basis for productive collaboration.
